- First of, I want to SHOUT in glee over Jack being 'Jacqueline'. That was just... uuugh! I loved her so much - I mean, she was definitely not a nice person, but she wasn't a full-on villain either - she was an adventurer, an explorer and yeah, she was selfish and manipulative, but that's not worse than a lot of other humans: she was meant to be pretty unsympathetic, but she was also capable and fierce, and I love the idea of a woman taking control of her own life like that, especially after stories like Regina's etc. She reminds me of Milah, and I liked Milah, for all of her flaws and faults, and leaving Bae (leaving him with a devoted and loving parent I might point out, but I won't start another Milah-rant here)
- I love Jorge Garcia. I am currently watching Lost for the first time (bet you couldn't tell from my joke above....), and his character, Hurley, is one of my favorites. He just has this earnest way of being, that makes him perfect to play Anton.
- Pointed this out before, but HALLELUJAH for backstory and the giants not being evil. In fact, as we learn here, they are the farthest from evil that they could possibly become. They could choose not to care about the other worlds - the worlds they are not part of. They could choose to still trade and sell the beans to the humans, in order to gain more profit. But they hate the violence of the human race so much, that they actively cut off contact, just to keep thousands of people they don't even know safe. And in the same way, you cannot completely blame the humans of the Kingdom for wanting a share of what the giants have: because they're desperate. Should they have just let Tiny come back with the gold and used that? Definitely. They had this friendship, and it was idiotic to throw that away. Shouid they have tried to bargain with the giants first, ask them for their help, show that they had changed, that not all of them had the violence in their hearts like King George and James and Jack? Yep. Unfortunately, it was the worst kind of people that ended up discovering the Giants, and it ended in genocide.
- Can we have an episode centered on Jack slaying the Jabberwock? That’s all I want in life, her killing a dragon-like creature and being awesome. PLEASE??
- (if she teams up with Milah to do it, ABC, I will give you my soul)
- btw, has everyone seen this? It's an alternate opening to the show, and it is amazing. I'm actually almost dissapointed its not the official one
- Regina needs to stop. I don't know what her game is, but it has to stop. Okay, I do sort of get it: she is going to latch unto the one thing she believes has helped her all of her life: the magic and power, which now comes in the form of her mother. For all that Cora put her through, in Regina's eyes, Cora's story is one of success - Cora got her child back now through these means, why shouldn't Regina get hers back the same way? It'll work, of course it will. I want to slap some sense into you Regina, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
- I'm... not sure I get why they're lying to Belle about the magic? I understand that they don't want to freak her out even more in her fragile state, but right now they're doing the opposite: they're making her feel like a freak, like she has no-one to support her in this, and so of course she's going to latch unto Outside-Guy like a barnacle when he tells her he believes her. This cannot possibly end well
- Cora's preference for using other people as weapons really need to come back and bite her in the behind someday. Don't you have a wand or something? That won't inevitably betray you once it finds out how nice all the others are compared to you. Where is Cora? She is so up to something, there's a reason Regina was running errands for her all episode.
- Worst case scenario she's gone off to find Bae and has gotten to him already. She was the one who gave Rum the magic globe, I'm sure she could spy somehow and know where he was. I don't believe their 'truce' for a second, not from her.
- Robert Carlyle's acting blew me out of the park this episode. I mean, it's always brilliant, but this time it was fantastic. God, the scene in the bathroom, and when he realizes he can't use magic. His emotions are trumming right under his skin, it was giving me shivers just watching him pace back and forth.
- I also want to take a moment to appreciate the scene between him and David: Rum will hold to his words, because hey, he's doing this to look for his family. He can understand, he can relate. He doesn't, despite his threats, want to harm Emma and Henry, he needs them, they're useful and Emma is even shown being kind to him this episode. I know he had no choice, but that scene where he had to take the scarf of, that really shows how much he's grown already: could you imagine start-of-season-one Rumple doing that? I can't. He trusted Emma. He believed in Emma, not just in the grander 'break-the-curse' way, but because he - unlike Regina - knows that there is a difference between his kind of people and their kind of people: he'll lie and manipulate until he gets his way, and David will risk his life crawling into a pit to save a giant that tried to kill them all five minutes before. That's not the only reason: he knows, if anyone, Emma will back him up on this - she actually wants to help him find his son, at least a little now that they're on the road to do just that. Because she has been in the same situation with Henry.
- CAN WE ALL APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT WE FINALLY KNOW CHARMING'S REAL NAME NOW??? I MEAN, OF COURSE IT WAS DAVID. WHAT ELSE WAS IT GOING TO BE? STEVE??? IT MAKES TOO MUCH SENSE. It also explains why Snow has been calling him 'David' still, after the curse was broken. It's his name guys.
- The way it was revealed was hilarious as well, I'm chuckling a little just thinking about it. Leroy, you're a fucking pearl in an ocean of seaweed you are.
- Have I mentioned how much I love this show for taking so many ridicolous cliches and tropes, and completely owning them? I mean, fairytales for starters, but David has an evil twin. And it's not in the 'headdesk' kind of way (okay I do want to headdesk a little bit BUT IN A GOOD WAY)
- This hiatus feels like it has been going on forever. ONCE I AM SO GLAD YOU'RE BACK.
